The Hub

A place to come in, sit down and feel part of something. The Hub is open to everyone. Young people, older people, families, anyone who wants somewhere to go, have a conversation or just be around others.

SCROLL DOWN

WHAT IS THE HUB

The Hub is a community space.

There is no pressure, no expectations and no labels. You can come in for a chat, a coffee or just to be around people.

It exists because not everyone needs a programme. Sometimes people just need somewhere to feel comfortable.

WHY THE HUB EXISTS

Not everything fits into education or structured support.

Some people need something quieter. Something more open. Somewhere they can come in without feeling like they are being assessed or managed.

The Hub fills that gap.

It is part of Positive Impact's wider work, but it stands on its own as a space for connection, not intervention.

WHO THE HUB IS FOR

The Hub is for everyone. Whether it's young people after school, adults in the local community, or older people who want somewhere to sit and talk.

It doesn't matter who you are or why you come in; if you need a space, it's there.

WE KEEP THINGS SIMPLE, THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT WORK.

REAL COMMUNITY STORIES

Four elderly women and one caregiver sitting around a table playing cards and drinking tea in a care home.

Since being able to access the hub regularly, the activities have helped me grow in confidence & brought me wonderful friendships. I attend for social activities such as lunch club each week, as well as learning new skills such as crafts and knitting through the great people who attend and share their knowledge. I would be lost without the hub.

Since retiring the Hub is a place to keep in touch with locals and volunteering with activities for our community. The Hub and Unity association which I am on the committee help raise money for social events. We have many people who enjoy the yoga, breakfast club on a Monday, lunch on Tuesday some come just for a coffee and a chat. There are people who don't see anybody that pop in for company and need to just talk or need advice.
