Supporting Young People Through Community Youth Work in Warwickshire

Learn how the Positive Impact Foundation's youth work project, supported by Warwickshire County Council, is creating safe spaces, positive opportunities and ongoing support for young people across North Warwickshire.

Supporting Young People Through Community Youth Work in Warwickshire

The Positive Impact Foundation is proud to deliver youth work projects that create opportunities, build confidence and support young people across Warwickshire communities.

Through funding provided by Warwickshire County Council's Youth Work Fund, we have been able to expand our youth work offer across North Warwickshire, creating safe, welcoming spaces where young people can learn, develop and feel supported.

Investing in Young People

Warwickshire County Council's Youth Work Fund was established to support community and voluntary organisations delivering services for young people aged 11–18.

The funding supports projects designed to tackle a range of challenges affecting young people, including:

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Alcohol misuse
  • Alcohol-related hospital admissions
  • Drug-related offences
  • Child exploitation
  • Knife crime and community safety concerns

By investing in preventative support and positive opportunities, youth work can play an important role in helping young people build confidence, make informed choices and develop stronger connections within their communities.

Supporting Communities Across North Warwickshire

The Positive Impact Foundation's youth work project was designed to support young people across five North Warwickshire communities:

  • Atherstone
  • Mancetter
  • Coleshill
  • Kingsbury
  • Polesworth

Weekly sessions provide young people with a consistent, safe environment where they can spend time with friends, access support and participate in activities that promote personal development and wellbeing.

The project focuses on creating opportunities for young people to develop socially, emotionally and personally while building skills that will support them throughout education, employment and adulthood.

Creating Safe Spaces and Positive Opportunities

Youth work is about much more than activities.

It is about building relationships, providing trusted support and creating environments where young people feel valued and able to succeed.

Our sessions offer young people:

  • Safe places to socialise
  • Positive role models
  • Opportunities to develop confidence
  • Skills for employment and future careers
  • Workshops focused on community safety and wellbeing
  • Activities that encourage teamwork, communication and resilience

By providing regular opportunities for engagement, we help young people feel connected to their communities and supported in achieving their goals.

Putting Young People at the Centre

A key part of the project is ensuring young people have a voice.

The programme was developed with a strong focus on youth participation, helping ensure activities, resources and opportunities reflect the interests and needs of the young people taking part.

This approach allows us to create projects that feel relevant, engaging and meaningful for the communities we serve.

Building Positive Futures

At the Positive Impact Foundation, we believe every young person deserves access to opportunities that help them grow, develop and thrive.

Through youth work, community partnerships and long-term support, we continue to create spaces where young people can build confidence, develop new skills and create positive futures.

Our commitment to youth work remains at the heart of what we do, helping young people feel supported, connected and empowered within their communities.
